A Real Story of a Pet Who Cameback, in His Owner’s Words
This is the true story of a golden retriever narrated by its owner.
We recently visited a family friend’s home. While we were there, our friend’s married daughter also visited her parents. We talked about pets because we had our pet dog with us. Our friend’s dog was upset to see another dog in the house, so they had to put it in a cage. Our friend’s grandson was crawling, and we were trying to keep our dog away from the baby so he wouldn’t get scared. However, his mom( friend’s daughter) mentioned that he plays with two dogs at home, so he is okay with dogs.
After that, a new conversation started about how a friend’s daughter’s dog got sick, and they had to put it down because the emergency surgery was unsuccessful. As per the vet, he will not make it. So, a difficult decision had to be made, and they could not say goodbye. Her husband was two hours away from work; the dog did not make it when he reached the vet. It was difficult for the couple to process the grief. Her husband was totally in disbelief and denial, saying, “ The pet is somewhere; he will find his way back home.”
